501(c)4 group aims to educate citizens on Obamacare “trainwreck”
(Louisville) The Kentucky Opportunity Coalition, a 501(c)4 non-profit corporation with a mission of educating citizens about issues affecting the Commonwealth, will launch a six-figure television advertising buy shortly after the Derby that focuses on the impact of Obamacare.
“Senator Mitch McConnell accurately predicted Obamacare would be a ‘train wreck,’ and now the law’s chief architect has admitted it,” said Scott Jennings, senior adviser to the Kentucky Opportunity Coalition. “We intend to talk about Senator McConnell’s leadership on this issue and encourage him and others to keep fighting this disastrous law,” Jennings said.
The Coalition has a Board of Directors consisting of three Kentucky women leaders:
- Kristen Webb – Kristen currently resides and practices law in Louisville, KY.
- Bridget M. Bush – A graduate of Harvard Law School and a former Second Circuit Clerk, Bridget currently practices in the Louisville office of Landrum & Shouse. She represented U.S. Senator Rand Paul as amicus curiae in the cases challenging Obamacare in the Supreme Court of the United States.
- Karen Sellers – Karen currently resides in Paintsville, KY and is a Health Care Executive at Highlands Health System in Prestonsburg.
“These three leaders are dedicated to keeping Kentuckians informed of critical public policy issues affecting our jobs and working families in the weeks and months ahead,” Jennings said. “I expect you’ll be hearing from this Coalition on a regular basis.”
