I Support the Conservative Plan for Kentucky!
Kentucky has major financial problems, but some longtime Frankfort politicians and insiders refuse to change their big spending ways. In fact, House Speaker Greg Stumbo has already proposed adding more than $3 billion to our state’s debt during this session of the General Assembly! We can’t afford to pass on billions in new debt to future generations.
Let’s try something different.
Governor Matt Bevin and conservatives in the legislature are working to get Kentucky’s finances back on track, and to enact pro-growth policies.
The Frankfort conservatives—Governor Bevin, Senate President Robert Stivers, Senate Majority Leader Damon Thayer, and House Minority Leader Jeff Hover—have a plan to cut wasteful spending, fix our broken pension system and finally pass tort reform, making Kentucky friendlier for new jobs.
Under the conservative plan, Kentucky will begin to pay down its unfunded pension liabilities, shrink the size of government agencies, and restrain the trial lawyers that have given Kentucky one of the worst legal climates in the nation. The conservative plan puts our financial house in order and sends a signal to the world that Kentucky is serious about creating jobs and opportunity for everyone.
